The Globe and Mail reports that he had left his job as a homecare orderly to look after his ailing wife. Now she is dead and he could go to jail. In the latest case to fuel the ethical debate over mercy killing and assisted suicide, a the man is expected to be charged with the slaying of his wife, who suffered from Friedreich ataxia, a degenerative disorder of the nervous system.
