This month’s issue of The American Journal of Bioethics features a Target Article by Diekema and Fost articulating their defense of the Ashley X procedures. Multiple commentators, including Dr. John Lantos, take issue with their claims, arguing that growth attenuation and the removal of reproductive organs for those with developmental disabilities is simply indefensible.

This week on The Bioethics Channel, the debate between Fost and Lantos jumps off the page and onto the soundwaves with Lorell LaBoube moderating in “Ashely X Revisited”. The back and forth between the two is engaging in this unique format which deserves a listen.
