More Facilities Fined for Resuscitating DNR Patients

Many clinicians believe that they can be penalized for failing to resuscitate an individual who wanted to be resuscitated.  But they also believe that they cannot be penalized for resuscitating an individual who did not want to be resuscitated.  

This is false.  Both clinicians and facilities are penalized for deviating from patient wishes in EITHER direction.  I review the law in this article.  Here is one recent case from Wisconsin.
