Trial in Forged Advance Directive Case

Susan Van Note is on trial for killing her father in October 2010.  I blogged about this in June 2015 and September 2012.

Van Note apparently shot and stabbed her father.  But he did not die.  So, she forged an advance directive. Van Note then arrived at the hospital and instructed providers to stop his life-sustaining treatment.

This is hardly a unique case of advance directive forgery. One other example is the Albert Barnes case from Minnesota.
