South Dakota Rejects "Futility Care Protocols"

The South Dakota Legislature recently passed SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 11, recognizing the state’s “unqualified interest in the preservation of human life.”

While the Resolution is focused on “opposing physician assisted suicide,” the Resolution goes beyond that.  It also notes that “South Dakota rejects abuses of palliative care through futility care protocols.”
