Today at noon, clinicians at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan were planning to withdraw organ-sustaining medical interventions from 16-year-old Titus Cromer Jr. over his family’s objections. Why? Because they had determined that Titus was dead.

Nevertheless, the family has obtained an injunction prohibiting the hospital from withdrawing organ-sustaining medical interventions at least until November 7, 2019. At that time, if Titus has not been transferred or suffered cardiac death, Oakland County Circuit Judge Hala Jarbou will decide whether to extend the injunction.
