Last week, a Milan trial court acquitted right-to-die activist Marco Cappato of assisted suicide.
Cappato had accompanied a 40-year-old blind and tetraplegic Italian disc jockey, Fabiano Antoniani (DJ Fabo), to take his life at a Swiss clinic in 2017.
In September, the Italian constitutional court ruled that it was not always a crime to help someone in “intolerable suffering” to kill themselves. The Milan court applied the rule established by the constitutional court.
