Faubion Associates has been retained by Cedars-Sinai Health System in Los Angeles,California to conduct a search for the Director of its Center for Healthcare Ethics. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Medical Care Services, the Director will be responsible for providing both operational and strategic leadership for the system-wide Bioethics Program and The Center for Healthcare Ethics. This individual will supervise staff, direct the activities of the bioethics consultation service, establish and direct system-wide educational activities in bioethics, and initiate/implement policy directives as they related to bioethics standards.

In filling this position, we seek individuals whose professional background includes clinical and leadership experience sufficient to lead a proactive bioethics program within a complex healthcare organization. Serious candidates should demonstrate the administrative, educational and organizational skills necessary to support all the components of a successful bioethics program, in addition to providing a vision for future direction and growth. Educational requirements for this position include a Doctoral Degree (M.D. or PhD) combined with advanced training and experience in bioethics.
