"Just Doctoring: Can Medical Education Address Racial & Ethnic Disparities in Health Care?" October 6-8, 2005, Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, Maywood, IL. Sponsors: The Neiswanger Institute for Bioethics and Health Policy, The National Medical Association, and the Accreditation Council on Graduate Medical Education.
This conference will explore the roles medical education and medical educators should play in remedying racial and ethnic disparities in health care. Abstracts for panels or individual presentations are welcome for this conference. Proposals exploring best practices in medical school or residency education to address issues of access to health care, disparate outcomes of treatment, equitable accrual of participants in research, or cultural competence are especially desirable.
