This 1.5 day conference, presented by the Simulation Center and Clinical Ethics Department, will provide interactive practice of difficult conversations in the adult, pediatric, and neonatal health care setting, with a focus on end of life conversations.
CONFERENCE PARTICIPANTS WILL:
•Gain knowledge of evidence-based communication practices including language use, nonverbal cues and understanding environmental factors.
•Practice having end of life conversation with feedback from a coach and standardized patient
•Be equipped with the tools to successfully have difficult end of life
conversations in various healthcare settings
