The Institute for Medical Ethics and History of Medicine, Ruhr UNiversity Bochum, germany and the European Association of Centres of Medical Ethics (EACME) will organise the EACME annual conference in 2013.

The main topic of the conference is: ‘Personalised medicine’ – medicine for the person? Ethical challenges for medical research and practice. The subtopics are: Patient as person in medicine, Research in ‘personalised medicine’, Clinical practice and Healthcare systems.

The programme of the conference includes plenary sessions as well as parallel sessions. People wishing to present papers at the conference are invited to submit an abstract addressing one of the conference topics (500 words maximum) before 1 March, 2013. Abstracts can be uploaded on the website. EACME invites applications of junior scholars for the EACME Prize.
