Position Overview
The Research Assistant/Associate will support the development, coordination, and implementation of key components of an NIH R01 grant funded study “Ethics of Inclusion: Diversity in Precision Medicine Research” under the supervision of the study principal investigator.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Scientific literature reviews and preparation of reference annotations with summaries
• Collection of qualitative study data from six national research sites
• Organize and input study data into qualitative software database
• Conduct data analysis and synthesis
• Conduct correspondence with study participants
• Schedule team meetings
• Support development and management of IRB protocols

Required Qualifications
• Master’s degree in a social science, ethics, law, science and technology studies or public health
• Ability to work with multi-institutional research team and to collaborate across organizations
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including one-on-one interactions as well as in groups
• Demonstrated capacity for independent research related work and initiative
• Demonstrated organizational abilities and professional approach
• Experience with qualitative methods and data analytic approaches

Preferred Qualifications
• Familiarity with the ethical, social and legal implications of human genetic technologies, and basic scientific understanding of them
• Experience with NIH funded research
