Hackensack Meridian Health seeks a qualified candidate for Director, Bioethics
This leadership position is an exciting opportunity to join a busy and growing Bioethics program. The qualified candidate possesses a terminal degree in a related field and has a minimum of 5 years’ Bioethics experience and outstanding communication skills. The Director, Bioethics develops and implements consultation and education programs within their region of the Hackensack Meridian Health Network, contributes to organizational ethics initiatives, and supports the mission of the growing HMH Bioethics program to create an environment where all clinical, administrative, academic, and research activities reflect HMH’s values of quality, integrity, professionalism, teamwork, and communication.
Faculty appointment at the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine will be considered for qualified candidates.
Opportunity Information
-Report to the HMH Network VP, Bioethics.
-Lead bioethics consultation services at institutions within the region to address ethical dilemmas that arise in the care of specific patients.
-Collaborate to develop and implement policies to address systems, organizational, and research ethics issues, educational programs for team members, students, trainees and volunteers, quality initiatives that assess and improve bioethics consultation.
-Engage with collaborations across HMH and with Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine.
-Engage in bioethics scholarship, present at academic conferences, and publish in academic journals and books.
