The Mayo Clinic Biomedical Ethics Program provides institutional and national leadership on ethical issues raised by translational research and integration of new medical technologies into patient care.
A bachelor or master's level research coordinator is sought for empirical bioethics projects. Initial topics may include prenatal genetic testing, regenerative medicine, new genomic technologies, and/or end-of-life care.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's or master's degree including substantial coursework in bioethics or health-related social sciences (psychology, medical sociology, medical anthropology, or public health). Research experience demonstrating either strong qualitative and/or quantitative background is preferred. Top candidates will be asked to provide a writing sample and contact information for 3 references.
