The American Nurses Association (ANA) Center for Ethics and Human Rights is seeking highly motivated and talented students for Spring 2021 internships. Students with an interest or background in nursing ethics or bioethics should apply. The purpose of the internship will be to provide students with an opportunity to translate scholarship into policy through research and scholarly writing. Students will work alongside nurse ethicists to learn about various nursing ethics policy issues such as moral distress, end-of-life issues, human rights, social justice, and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements.
Students must be in good academic standing. Preference will be given to ANA members, however, students who have a strong background in ethics will also be considered. The student must be enrolled in a master’s level or higher education accredited program. This is an unpaid internship and must be performed for academic credit. Distance/virtual learning opportunities are available. Please submit a CV and letter of interest by December 3, 2020. Please contact Liz Stokes JD, MA, RN, Director, American Nurses Association Center for Ethics and Human Rights, 8515 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD, 20910; firstname.lastname@example.org with questions.
