Message from Director: Given the current COVID-19 crisis, we are considering online and other training alternatives. We do continue to encourage applications at this time. Please feel free to email Rimah Jaber, Institute Program Administrator, at ethicsinst@fordham.edu with any questions or concerns.

Now in its tenth year, the Fordham University HIV and Drug Abuse Prevention Research Ethics Training Institute (RETI) is currently accepting applications for the 2020 Summer Institute and Mentored Research Program.

This NIDA-funded program, directed by Center for Ethics Education Director and Principal Investigator, Dr. Celia B. Fisher, provides early career investigators in the social, behavioral, medical and public health fields with an opportunity to gain research ethics training.

  • Receive a $30,000 grant to conduct a mentored research study that will contribute to evidence-based HIV & drug abuse research ethics practice.
  • Join an international network of scholars examining current challenges in HIV & drug abuse research ethics.

Our fellows have published their mentored research studies in peer reviewed journals, presented the data at national and international conferences, and incorporated it as pilot data for grant applications. To view our fellows’ accomplishments, please visit our Research Ethics Publications and Presentations page.

Apply now to become a 2020 fellow!

Applications are due April 8, 2020.  Applicants will be notified of award decisions by April 27, 2020.

Visit fordham.edu/ethicsinstitute to apply and contact the Program Administrator, Rimah Jaber, at ethicsinst@fordham.edu for more information.
