The ANA Center for Ethics and Human Rights is seeking to recruit highly motivated and talented students for Summer and Fall 2019 internships. Students with an interest or background in nursing ethics or bioethics should apply. The virtual/distance internship is unpaid and students must be proficient in Microsoft Word, grammar, and email. The purpose of the internship will be to provide students with an opportunity to translate scholarship into policy through research and scholarly writing. Students will work alongside nurse ethicists to learn about various nursing ethics policy issues such as moral distress, end-of-life issues, genetics, human trafficking, social justice, and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements.
Students must be in good academic standing. Preference will be given to ANA members, but students who have a strong background in ethics will also be considered. The student must be in a master’s level or higher education program. The hours must count towards academic credit and will be determined by the Center, student, and faculty. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with questions.
