The Department of Global Health and Social Medicine at King’s College London invites applications for a Senior Lecturer/Reader (tenured Associate Professor, indefinite contract ) with a focus on the interrelationships between public policy and health.
Candidates should hold a PhD and have an established research profile in a relevant social science field such as sociology, political science, policy studies, social policy, political economy, geography, health policy, economics, socio-legal studies, international development, science and technology studies, or a related relevant discipline or interdisciplinary field. Areas of expertise include but are not limited to: environmental public policy, sustainable development, environmental justice and planetary health; anti-racist and/or decolonial health policy advocacy; policy evaluation; power and the policy-making process; and governance and health systems. We will also consider other areas of research at the interface of public policy, global health and social medicine. We are seeking applicants with an outstanding track-record of social science research, publications and external funding relative to career stage, and who have the ability to demonstrate a clear leadership trajectory in research and teaching.
