The Department of Philosophy at Oakland University invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position, beginning August 15, 2021, renewable with administrative approval for up to four years. Area of specialization: Bioethics. Areas of competence: Open. We are especially interested in candidates who are willing to teach sections of “Introduction to Ethics for Healthcare Professions” and to assist in growing our new Bioethics minor. Candidates must demonstrate experience with, and a commitment to, diversity and inclusion.

Minimum Qualifications: PhD in Philosophy, Bioethics, or Health Care Ethics by August 15, 2021 is required for appointment at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor.
